personalised service. The Palace On Wheels is regularly refurbished to a

Tour Schedule
Day 1( wednesday), New Delhi
The seven days of trip on the Palace On Wheels begins on Wednesday night
from the Safdarjung Railway Station, New Delhi where all the guests
boarding the train are given a warm welcome.
Day 2( Thursday), Jaipur
The first stop of the Palace On Wheels is Jaipur, one of the most planned
cities in the world of its time. Here the travellers can see magnificent
architecture like Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort and City Palace.
Day 3( Friday), Jaisalmer
The train lands in Jaisalmer on the third day. The place is located in
the heart of the Thar desert. There are lots of awe inspiring sights that
the travellers can relish - Patwon Ki -Haveli, Salim Singh Ki - Haveli -
and can shop in the Rajasthan Government Emporium.
Day 4(Saturday), Jodhpur
The next destination of Palace On Wheels is Jodhpur. There is a lot to
explore in the second largest city of Rajasthan. Great palaces like Moti
Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Phool Mahal form the impressive examples of
architectural excellence.
Day 5(Sunday), Sawai Madhopur
The
ultimate experience of wildlife can be witnessed as the Palace On Wheels
arrives in Sawai Madhopur. Soon after the breakfaster, the tourists can
enjoy the panoramic views of the Ranthambor National Park which holds the
treasure of more than 300 species of birds. Tiger, Chital, Chinkara and
Indian Gazelle are some of the animals one can encounter in their visit to
the place.
Chittaurgarh
After the lunch, the train stops at Chittaurgarh. Here the Chittaurgarh
Fort can be relished.
Day 6(Monday), Udaipur
Next the train arrives in the lake city of Udaipur. The place holds great
scenic beauty. The most beautiful sights of Udaipur are the dream like
marble palaces - Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir. The sight of the Lake Pichhola
also is very mesmerising.
Day 7(Tuesday), Bharatpur
Early next morning, the Palace On Wheels arrives in Bharatpur. Here the
tourists are exposed to the the kaleidoscopic sights of the famous
Keoladeo Ghana National Park where they get to see some of the most
beautiful migratory birds.
Agra
Later, on the same day the train reaches Agra. The travellers here enjoy
one of the seven wonders of the world- The Taj Mahal. Fatehpur Sikri also
becomes one of the tourist's delight.
Day 7(Wednesday), New Delhi
After dinner on board and a good night's sleep, the train arrives at the
Safdarjung Railway Station, New Delhi early in the morning. Here, the
pleasant journey of the week comes to an end , leaving with us the fond
memories of the trip and a lingering feeling to return to the Palace On
Wheels trip again.
